Jan 07 buys Windtec, an Austrian company that designs wind turbine electronics and electrical systems, AMSC does not build it's own turbines but has jv's early 2007 for Windtec turbine tech to India, South Korea, and to develop 3MW + 5MW systems with Sinovel Wind Co of China. see-TECO of Taiwan manufacturing agreement.
    • A-Power Energy Generation Systems Ltd-APWR on NASDAQ, distributed power systems, micro-power grids 5-400MW, gearboxes for GE China/GE Drivetrain, builds 2.7MW Fuhrlander turbines since June 09, 80/20 jv with Norwin for building 750kW turbines (expandable to 1.5MW), W2E Wind to Energy GmbH, also solar with acquiring Evatech, a designer + manufacturer of industrial equipment for amorphous-silicon (a-Si) PV panels.

    • China Ming Yang Wind Power Group Ltd-MY on NYSE, October 2010 IPO, turbines, 1.5MW two models, using aerodyn Energiesysteme tech, 2.5-3MW + 6MW in development.
    • Clipper Windpower-CWP on AIM London, 09/2005 IPO, CRPWF on OTC, 2.5MW Liberty Series turbine, 24 generator project in Honduras, Chm and CEO is James GP Dehlsen (founder of Zond in 1980). July 2006 contracts with BP, 1050 MW sale to see FPL.
    • Enertrag AG- invest in bonds or windfarm funds at site. is one of Germany's leading windfarm developers + operators, also owns Prokon Nord Group (see-DIAS-German stockholder protection site for info) which in turn owns (check-see also Areva) the Multibrid turbine technology over 3MW, designed for offshore, one 5MW test turbine operating on land now. has a 3-legged tower for second test tower.

    • EU Energy plc-06/2006 bought out by see Composite Technology Corp.; 07/2005 buys DeWind GmbH, re-engineers the DeWind turbine product, now makes 50Hz and 60Hz versions of 1.25 + 2MW turbines using Voith hydrodynamic torque converter between blade rotation gearbox and asynchronous generator. 2006 has 250MW supply argreement to see Anemos Energy with 8 projects in Canada. has agreements for selling 1,260+ turbines for 2007-2012.
    • Fuhrlander AG-now again a private turbine manufacturer, one FL2500 installed on world's highest tower, a 160m latice tower at Laasow, Brandenburg, Germany. Building production plant in Brazil. years ago business: website has no info of history of see Pfleiderer ownership which results in some confusion since Pfleiderer turbines are still sometimes also called Fuhrlander-Pfleiderer turbines (see Bolcar- which has the NA rights to manufacture 'Fuhrland-Pfleiderer' turbines).

Spanish windfarms and world's #2 (13.9%) manufacturer of windturbines. 2008- $9.7B 4500MW deal with see-Iberdrola, Bought out Vestas Spanish investment in 2001, jv with Toshiba Engineering Corp. in Japan. buys Navitas of USA(800MW) JV's with Iberdrola for projects in Europe.     • General Electric- GE on NYSE, WKN 851144 on FSE, March/April 2002 buys Enron Wind (aka Zond + Aeropac rotors) from bankrupt Enron. 130 turbines for Cape Cod project. 3.6Mw turbines in use at Arklow Bank project in Ireland, GE 1.5MW turbine first to reach 2500 installations. #4 turbine producer in the world. 2006 working with NREL on a 5-7MW turbine.

    • Pfleiderer (WKN 676474 on FSE)- this is a wood products co., also is Europes 2nd largest maker of insulation. past business: at some time Pfleiderer bought see Fuhrlander- a turbine co, in 2003 Pfleiderer, see Pfleiderer-Wind got out of the wind business- selling Pfleiderer Wind- the Fuhlander turbine part to independent Fuhrlander and the rights to the +3MW Multibrid technology to ProkonNord- see Enertrag. Sept 2005 order from FPL for 600 MW of 2.3 MW MkII turbines. makes ScanWind 3MW and CombiStall 2.3MW(Bonus) turbines.
